Neighborhood Work Days

Anyone who lives on Weatherby Drive can post to this Web site. All you have to do is send me an email: picoletta@yahoo.com with your name and email address.

So, what are Neighborhood Work Days?
Back in the 1980s and 1990s, the neighborhood used to get together twice a year and work on beautification projects--trimming trees, raking leaves, etc.. It was a good way to meet neighbors and take care of much needed maintenance. There was always food and drinks! If you think you'd like to participate in a Work Day this fall, let one of our board members know.

The current Board is:
Christopher Poletto, 7520 Weatherby
Debbie Edgerly, 7529 Weatherby

The next board meeting will be in January 2005. All Board seats are up for election. The positions available are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. We'd also like to elect an alternate board member. All told, there are 5 spots.

Remembering Mary Jane

Mary Jane, our longtime neighbor and friend, has passed away. Her family is in our prayers.

On Sunday, November 7, 2004, MARY JANE LANEVE, of Rockville, MD. Loving mother of Sandra Anderson (Paul), Kirk Laneve (Lora) and Jennifer Crisalli (Anthony); grandmother of Anthony and Nicolette Crisalli, Douglas and Ronald Anderson and Lance Laneve; sister of the late Audrey Hlasnik. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Ronald Laneve. Family and friends will gather Thursday, November 11, at HINES-RINALDI FUNERAL HOME, INC., 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, November 12, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 12319 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD at 11 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery County Hospice.
